Bonfire Night

Remember, remember, the 5th of November. Bonfire Night is a fantastic night celebrated across the country in remembrance of Guy Fawkes, the leader of the failed Gunpowder plot of 1605. This year is the 405th anniversary of the event and there will be plenty of celebrations with a firework display filling the skies.

Fireworks are an amazing sight to see and partnered with the correct music can be spectacular, but did you know that fireworks can create a noise hitting up to 140dB! That is louder than an amplified rock concert!

The louder the noise the greater the chance of hearing loss is the general rule of thumb. You can even run the risk of permanent hearing damage if you are exposed regularly to noises that exceed 110dB (decibels) for longer than 1 minute at a time.

So when it comes to seeing fireworks on the 5th, it is increasingly important to wear some protective hearing equipment. Ear plugs are ideal to be worn when taking family and friends to the firework night, their hearing will be protected, yet you will still be able to hear conversations and won’t feel silly wearing them as they are discrete.

Noise Reduction ear plugs are the ideal type of ear plug to wear at this years event and as a selection of them are reusable you can wear them time and time again when the noise level peaks to an all time high.
