The significance of wearing ear plugs

Wearing ear plugs can be said to stem from a variety of reasons, the most common being protecting your ears from infections, another is to prevent water from entering the ear canal and causing irritation, however, the most significant reason is to prevent hearing damage and impairment.

According to Deafness Research UK; “The deterioration of the ear which accompanies ageing still leaves more than half of all people over the age of 60 with a hearing impairment, and an increasing number of young people have their hearing permanently damaged through exposure to loud noise: usually music.”

If you’re a fan of music and attend festivals or concerts, you should take a pair of musician ear plugs with you. The beauty of these ear plugs is that they block harmful noises, whilst letting you listen to the music you came to hear, but more audibly.

There are many other situations where hearing damage can occur including: at work, when riding a motorbike and living by road works. No matter the situation, there is an ear plug that can help prevent damage to your hearing. Noise reduction ear plugs are often used when noise levels are high and at All Ear Plugs you’ll find a fantastic selection that offers a wide range of noise reduction ratings. Most of the noise reduction earplugs are waterproof too, which is ideal for those who practise aquatic sports and wish to prevent infections such as swimmer’s ear.
